Christian faith is under quiet pressure in daily life. Between packed schedules, secular messaging, and a culture that often treats faith as optional, it’s easy for children to grow up without a strong, consistent foundation in God. Christian Schools Foundation exists because we believe that foundation matters — and that a Christ-centered education is one of the most lasting gifts a child can receive.
Catholic schools have carried that mission since 1179, when the Third Council of the Lateran first required every cathedral to provide a teacher for the education of the faithful — nearly 850 years of educating children not just academically, but spiritually, in a tradition built on faith, discipline, and community. Catholic schools also represent the largest network of Christian education under a single hierarchy, which means your gift goes further, with lower administrative overhead than funding many smaller independent Christian schools, or a patchwork of local parish programs, individually.
CSF’s role is simple: we raise funds from generous donors — Christians of every background, not just Catholics — and direct that support to dioceses and schools, who are best positioned to put it to work. You can give generally, trusting CSF to direct your gift where it’s needed most, or designate a preferred diocese, so your support stays close to a community you care about. All sponsorship funds go directly toward tuition costs for students attending Catholic schools — nothing else.
CSF doesn’t select which students receive help, and we don’t run educational programs ourselves. Our job is to make giving simple, and to get resources into the hands of the schools and communities doing the work — so more children can grow up with God at the center of their education.
Join us. Whatever your background or budget, there’s a place for you in this mission.
